General terms and conditions


Unless there are special written provisions issued by a person authorised to do so, the present general terms and conditions apply to all obligations of Exploitatie Hotel van Eyck B.V. These terms and conditions are mentioned on the website As such, they have been adequately notified. Tacit acceptance is evidenced by a visit to our premises or the receipt of our documents or services.

Performance and/or rates

The services and tariffs are freely determined by the Management, which reserves the right to modify them at any time.

Damage and/or theft

The hotel owner shall only be liable for damage to, or destruction or theft of, items brought into the hotel by a guest staying there up to ten times the daily room charge unless the item has actually been left in safekeeping, the hotel owner has refused to accept securities, money or valuable items for safekeeping, or the damage is the fault of the hotel owner, and he shall not be held liable if it is the fault of the guest himself or the person accompanying, visiting or working for him; theft committed by force of arms or the nature or defect of the item. If the guest is not entitled to damages, he/she shall report them to the hotel owner as soon as they are discovered.

Payment conditions

An invoice is only sent to the customer if he requests it, except in cases where the issue of an invoice is required by law. The price is payable immediately, net and without reduction. In case of non-payment, the price will automatically be increased by default interests at the conventional rate of 12% and by a fixed compensation of 10% with a minimum of 75 euros and a maximum of 1,500 euros per collection. Moreover, every late payment of a single invoice of Exploitatie Hotel van Eyck B.V. will entitle the company to suspend all current performances of any kind. If need be, Exploitatie Hotel van Eyck B.V. can invoke the right to dissolve the agreement. These decisions can be taken by operation of law and without notice of default. All the hotel guest's goods that are in the hotel are retained until further guarantee of the payment of the amounts owed. Any complaint regarding the quality of the services provided shall be made within 3 days of delivery. Any complaints about the accuracy of the invoice must be made in writing within 7 days of the invoice being sent.

Gift vouchers for the hotel

The amount must be purchased at once. No money will be refunded. Only valid for packages including overnight stay. Reservations can only be made directly with the hotel by phone, email or via When booking, we always ask for the gift voucher number to verify the authenticity of the voucher. Payment with the gift voucher can be done at the reception of the hotel.

Gift vouchers for the restaurant

The amount must not be bought up in one go. However, no money will be given back either. The remainder will be refunded in the form of a new gift voucher or a correction to the existing gift voucher. In both cases the validity after the remainder will not be deducted. This means that the validity date of the original gift voucher will not change. You can pay with the gift voucher at the reception of the hotel.

The Department of International Flanders is the competent authority that grants the licence and where further information can be obtained about the regulations governing the operation of tourist accommodation and the legal remedies generally available in the event of disputes, and where the tourist can lodge a complaint.

Covid 19 measures


- Cancellation is free of charge until 10 a.m. on the day of arrival.


- Dinner is served in the room, after placing your order by telephone with our chef.
- Breakfast is served in the room, after filling in your order form.

Hotel hygiene

- There are several disinfection points in the hotel. All individuals entering the hotel must disinfect themselves here regularly.
- A mouth mask is compulsory in all rooms except your own if you are in this room with your family members belonging to your bubble.
- All individuals entering the hotel are expected to keep 1.5 m distance from any person not belonging to his/her bubble.

Room hygiene

 Our staff will not enter your room unless:
- they come to bring your meal, breakfast and/or drink.
- they come to clean your room.
During this visit, our staff will always keep a distance of 1.5 m and wear a mouth mask. This visit will also be kept as short as possible.
If you do not want our housekeeping staff to enter your room during your stay, please indicate this at check-in.

At the entrances and exits of the hotel, we will post this information clearly and unambiguously so that all individuals entering the hotel are aware of the measures in place. All individuals who do not abide by these rules will be expelled from the hotel.
